Whilst butterflies are the stars of the show, pupae are also diverse and colourful! This is a vibrant mixture of tropical butterfly pupae carefully selected from our butterfly house facilities and supplemented with pupae from regular pupae deliveries from butterfly farms around the world - a perfect illustration of butterfly diversity. We guarantee a mix of pupae and will send no more than 3 pupae of the same species to ensure you get the best variety, but in most cases all pupae will be of a different species. This is ideal for customers who would like to see a variety of butterflies - if you require a particular species, you can order these separately.
We aim to send pupae that represent the diversity of species in the butterfly house, they may include any of the main families: Morphos (Morphidae); Owls (Caligo); Swallowtails (Papilionidae); Brushfoots (Nymphalidae); Longwings (Heliconidae); Whites and Yellows (Pieridae); and Milkweed butterflies (Danaidae). Pupae are received at least twice a month, but often weekly, so orders will most likely be dispatched within 1-2 weeks. See the photos to view some of the beautiful pupae we supply.
