Terms & Conditions

Orders can be cancelled but cannot be refunded unless the livestock is not supplied by the end of the season - in essence, you are paying for the insects, not for a specific delivery time - this is due to the somewhat unpredictable nature of breeding insects. When an order is placed, the livestock is allocated to you. Preorders are booked with breeders and suppliers in advance for the upcoming season.

Availability times are estimates, to the highest possible accuracy, but are still subject to external conditions such as weather which cannot always be mitigated for, e.g. a particularly cold or wet spring would delay the breeding of most butterflies.

Orders sent to the UK have a live & healthy arrival guarantee; issues must be reported on the day of arrival to be eligible, including photographic evidence. After the day of arrival, the livestock is under your care and not eligible for any further guarantee.

International orders have no guarantees, and are sent entirely at the risk of the customer with a complete customs declaration. If you have a permit or license you would like to attach to the shipment please get in touch after ordering, this is not a problem. Refunds will not be given for: any issue with international shipping, including customs delays or seizures; or the death of livestock occurring under the customer’s care.
