Frequently Asked Questions
When will my order arrive?
Check the estimated availability shown on the product you ordered.
This tells you approximately when we expect the livestock to become available — not when your parcel is guaranteed to arrive.
We will keep you updated and once the livestock becomes available and your order reaches the front of the queue, it will be prepared for dispatch.
Why has someone else received the same species before me?
Orders are normally fulfilled chronologically, but livestock production occurs in batches and orders may be fulfilled by different breeders or locations.
There can therefore occasionally be differences in fulfilment timing.
My estimated availability date has passed. Should I be worried?
Not necessarily.
Availability dates are estimates because live insects do not develop to an exact commercial timetable. A delay can simply mean that breeding, egg laying, pupation or emergence is taking longer than expected.
Where appropriate, we provide updates as the season progresses.
I've received tracking but it isn't working. Has my order been sent?
Not necessarily.
We may create shipping labels while an order is being prepared. Tracking normally becomes active once Royal Mail receives or processes the parcel.
I ordered several species. Why have I only received one?
Different species become available at different times.
We may fulfil part of your order when one species becomes available rather than delaying that livestock until every species on the order is ready.
The remaining items stay on order and will be fulfilled as they become available.
Will everything in my order arrive in the same parcel?
Not necessarily.
Your livestock may become available at different times or be fulfilled from different locations, so an order can arrive across several deliveries.
What should I do before my livestock arrives?
Please read the relevant Care Guide before dispatch and make sure you have the appropriate enclosure, foodplant, temperature and other requirements ready.
What if my livestock arrives dead or unwell?
For UK orders, contact us on the day of delivery with your order number and clear photographs of the livestock and packaging.
Please retain the livestock and packaging until we have responded.
Do you guarantee international livestock deliveries?
No. Our Live & Healthy Arrival Guarantee does not apply to livestock dispatched outside the United Kingdom, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
International shipping of live insects involves customs, border controls, longer transit times and other risks outside our reasonable control.
Can you include my import permit with my order?
Yes, where practicable. Please contact us after ordering and provide the documentation you would like included.
