Siproeta epaphus, commonly known as the Rusty-tipped Page or the Brown Siproeta, is a striking butterfly from the family Nymphalidae. It is native to tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas, ranging from Mexico and Central America to parts of South America. This species is often found in diverse habitats such as forest edges, clearings, and gardens, where host plants and nectar sources are abundant.

Adult Siproeta epaphus butterflies are medium to large, with a wingspan of about 7–8.5 cm. The upper side of the wings is predominantly dark brown, marked by a broad orange band stretching across the forewings. The hindwings exhibit rusty-orange tips, which give the species its common name. The underside features muted tones of brown with white streaks, providing effective camouflage when the butterfly is at rest.

The lifecycle of Siproeta epaphus includes egg, caterpillar, pupa, and adult stages. Its caterpillars feed on host plants from the family Acanthaceae, particularly species of Ruellia. These butterflies are strong fliers and are often seen basking in sunny spots or feeding on nectar, rotting fruit, or tree sap.
