Smerinthus cerisyi, the One-eyed Sphinx, is a species of hawk-moth found in North America, in regions of the United States and Canada. It is known for its distinctive appearance, characterized by a prominent eye-like spot on each hindwing. Like other members of the Sphingidae family, it has a streamlined body and long, narrow wings, which aid in its agile flight. Host plants include Willows and Poplars. The caterpillars are typically green with diagonal white lines along their sides and a prominent horn-like structure at the rear. Rearing is essentially the same as for our own Eyed Hawk-moths!

Lifecycle - two broods usually; overwintering as pupae.
