Malay Atlas Moth EGGS (Archaeoattacus malayanus)

A small breeding stock has been secured and we expect eggs in the late summer or autumn this year. Demand will be high and we can only offer a limited number of eggs.

Difficulty: Cocoons are easy to hatch (1/10); caterpillars can be challenging but success is achieved with humid but clean, airy conditions (5/10)

Host plants: Privet is the best reported host plant in captivity, but they may accept others like Lilac, Custard Apple, 

Conditions: High humidity is essential for cocoons.

Lifecycle: Two or three broods annually; cocoons diapause over winter.
