Frequently Asked Questions

When will my order be sent/delivered?

In short: when it’s ready! Butterflies and moths are seasonal creatures, which means that we do not know exactly when livestock will be available for shipping, however best estimates are always provided in the product title (remember that these are estimates and not guarantees). If your order cannot be fulfilled by the end of the breeding season you will be given the option to cancel or substitute your order, or retain it for the following season.

It is impossible to be more precise, but we will keep in touch regarding significant updates and you can rest assured that your order will be supplied as soon as possible.

You can log into your account or check your order confirmation email for the estimated availability.

How can I get in touch?

You can contact us via email, however please make use of all the information provided on the website in the first instance - we can no longer respond to generic enquiries that are already answered on the website due to the sheer volume of correspondence. Many hours of work have gone into constructing the website and ensuring it contains all the necessary information. Note that during the main season there will be delays in response as most time is devoted to maintaining the livestock.

How do I look after [species X]?

Multiple care guides have been published on the website which are free to access and contain all of our best information. Guides contain the fundamentals, with several that are more specific and detailed. In many cases, the best results are achieved through trial and eror - you will improve upon your own methods as you gain experience.
