Cethosia cyane PUPAE

Cethosia cyane, commonly known as the Leopard Lacewing, is a captivating butterfly species found in various parts of Southeast Asia, including Indonesia and Malaysia. Its striking appearance features intricate patterns of deep blue and black on its wings, resembling delicate lace. The male and female of this species exhibit sexual dimorphism, with the males having brighter orange markings and the females displaying more subdued yellow colors. Leopard Lacewings primarily inhabit tropical forests and can be spotted in both lowland and montane regions. Their caterpillars feed on different species of Passifloraceae plants and are not challenging to care for in captivity.
