This moth is renowned for its large size and exquisite appearance. It boasts a wingspan that can reach up to 15 centimeters, featuring shorter, but gracefully curved tails on its hindwings and a pale blue-green base colour. Its caterpillars are very easy to rear on a variety of host plants, including: Birch, Alder, Walnut, Willow, Oak, Cherry, Hawthorn, Sweet Gum, and many others.
