SOLD OUT: Iberian Ribbed Newt LARVAE

from £19.50

The Iberian Ribbed Newt (Pleurodeles waltl) is a large species that can reach up to 30cm (12 inches) in length. This is a highly aquatic newt, which gladly spends all of its time underwater. They are capable of surviving on land when breeding pools dry up in the wild, however in captivity are much happier living aquatically year-round in cold-water tanks. Breeding occurs spontaneously, often triggered by a water change. with hundreds of eggs laid over a short period. In nature, spawning often occurs after rainstorms during the autumn-spring period.
