MAY: American Green Tree Frog TADPOLES

Hyla cinerea is a small, vibrant amphibian native to the southeastern United States. These treefrogs are known for their bright green dorsal coloration, which provides excellent camouflage among foliage. They possess adhesive toe pads that aid in climbing and clinging to various surfaces, making them well-suited for arboreal life. American tree frogs are nocturnal and become more active at night when they feed on insects and other small invertebrates. During the breeding season in spring and summer, males produce a distinctive, high-pitched trill to attract females. Native to the southeastern US, these are probably not as hardy as versicolor or arborea.
