MAY/JUNE: Nymphalis antiopa EGGS
from £12.50
Availability depends on when breeding occurs - note that this could be any time between May and July. They are very easy to rear on their host plant, Nettles (Urtica dioica).
Although a rare (but increasingly common) migratory species, which may now be breeding and hibernating in the UK, these should not be released - there are distinct geographical races with local adaptations which can be disrupted by the introduction of non-indigenous animals.
