This mix is selected randomly from the 1-5 native species breeding in the butterfly house at the time of supply. Single species, e.g. Peacock caterpillars, can be purchased from the Native Species section. All species supplied in this mix feed on nettles (Urtica doica). Species may include:

Small Tortoiseshell, Aglais urticae
Painted Lady, Vanessa cardui
Red Admiral, Vanessa atalanta
Comma, Polygonia c-album
These are all very easy to rear on their host plant, Nettles (Urtica dioica). Available between May and September.
