NOW: Cerura vinula EGGS

from £7.50

The Puss Moth is a mid sized moth native to much of northern Europe and has a wingspan of 5.5-7.5cm. The moths typically emerge in April or May when the trees come into leaf. Caterpillars are very easy to rear and become huge! They are spectacular - highly recommended, particularly if you have not reared them before. Host plants include Willow, Birch, Poplar, Cherry, Oak, Hawthorn and multiple others, no doubt. The caterpillars produce a very tough cocoon formed from tree bark, where they spend the winter.
