The Suraka Silk Moth or Madagascar Bullseye Moth, is a species of silk moth found only in Madagascar. These moths are known for their distinctive appearance and are valued locally for their silk production, although they are not as well-known as some other silk moth species. Wingspan usually between 10 and 15cm. Their wings often have a bullseye-like pattern, which is a distinctive feature. Breeding and rearing are both extremely easy. The caterpillars are typically green with yellow and black markings and have spiky projections on their bodies. Cocoons are strong but formed of a loose mesh.
